A message from our founder

After running out of rooms to continuously decorate in my home and years of being asked to decorate spaces for friends and family, I decided it was time to follow my passion for design.  Creating inviting areas is something I always loved even as a little girl, as I would rush home from school every few weeks to change out yard sale purchased curtains and move furniture around in my bedroom.  Growing up with very young parents who had me right out of high school and moving unexpectedly from the south to Boston, having a disposable income for decor was never in the cards.  For years I observed my talented mother turn our tiny apartments into warm inviting spaces that looked as if they were plucked from an expensive home decor catalog, when in reality everything was purchased from second-hand stores and bargain retailers.



She inspired my love for design and it seemed only appropriate to launch my business on the first anniversary of losing her way too soon at only 62 years old. Some of our best memories together revolved around designing spaces, from decorating my first few dorm rooms to creating decor for my wedding to designing the nurseries for each of my babies.



My mother showed me that you didn't need a large extravagant house to have a "home," nor did you need a CEO's budget to create a space that you were proud of or cherished.  A home is an expression of your personality and should be a place for comfort that anyone can attain.
